summary of the STEM education project in Uruguay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Academies of Science (ANCiU), Engineering (ANIU) and Medicine (ANM) of Uruguay presented on July 21 a document summarizing the essential aspects of the project \u201cSTEM Education in Uruguay: A Challenge for All\u201d.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2021, the project sought to contribute to improving science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning in Uruguay at the early childhood, primary and secondary education levels.<\/p>\n<p>A working group composed of <strong>members of the three academies<\/strong> was established and tasked with submitting recommendations and proposals for how the Academies could contribute to improving STEM learning in the country.<\/p>\n<h2>Stages<\/h2>\n<p>The work was divided into two stages:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The first stage, carried out during 2021, consisted of a <strong>survey of best practices and experiences<\/strong>, both internationally and in Uruguay.<\/li>\n<li>The second stage, carried out in 2022, developed two parallel lines of work:\n<ul>\n<li>Meetings with <strong>leading<\/strong> public education leaders and other education experts.<\/li>\n<li>Definition of <strong>strategic lines and concrete proposals<\/strong> to be presented to the academies\u2019 boards of directors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aniu.org.uy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/la-educacion-stem-en-uruguay-resumen-consolidado-final.pdf\">Click here to download
