Mathematics education in Uruguay: some reflections
The report was prepared by the InterAcademy Group for Mathematics Education (GIEM), made up of representatives of the National Academy of Sciences, Economics, Engineering and Medicine, based on an initiative linked to previous work on STEM education. Its objective is to diagnose the weaknesses in mathematics learning in Uruguay and generate concrete proposals to improve its teaching, especially in view of its impact on educational trajectories and the country’s development.
