On Tuesday, December 6, as part of the end-of-year event, the prizes for the XIV edition of the annual competitions for doctoral thesis, master’s thesis and final degree projects were announced, organized by the National Academy of Engineering.
On October 12, within the framework of the 130th anniversary of the National Engineer’s Day, the Department of Documentation and Library of the Faculty of Engineering (University of the Republic), prepared a virtual commemorative exhibition in 3D.
On August 17, the National Academy of Engineering of Uruguay (ANIU) organized a conference on the construction of the Central Railway (Ferrocarril Central), the most important infrastructure work for rail transport in recent years.
Organized by ANIU and a foreign sponsor, the award seeks to recognize people, groups of people or institutions that introduce innovation in the Uruguayan forestry chain.
Dr. Jorge Grünberg, member of the National Academy of Engineering (ANIU) and rector of ORT Uruguay University, highlighted the importance of improving education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), given that “young people who choose scientific orientation have a much greater chance of accessing higher-paying jobs.”
